I'm excited for today's post, readers!! I've got swatches of my new late fall/winter collection which is inspired by the women of Harry Potter! I've been working on this set for a long time and I'm glad to finally bring them to you.
More photos after the jump!
First up is His Chosen One, which is inspired by Ginny Weasley. Ginny seemed to be a character who spent most of her time in the background being barely noticeable, but when she was in the forefront, you knew she was special. I tried translating that into this nude crelly with amazing gold flakies. Index finger has three coats, the rest of the mani is done with two coats.
Little Bit Different is my creation based on Luna Lovegood. I never really pictured a face when reading about Luna, but a color. Bright, shimmery blue. This color is a fantastic representation of that. It is a blue-based polish with a blue-red-gold multichrome shift with blue and purple shimmer. Three thin coats alone are shown on my first three fingers, and one coat over black is on my pinky.
Awkward shot in an attempt to show the multichrome and shimmer without the sun. :)
Slightly Unstable is my representation of Bellatrix Lestrange. A black crelly polish with a green-yellow-silver shift and scattered holo particles. Just like Bellatrix, this polish is just a little bit crazy. And beautiful. Two easy coats.

Mama Lion is inspired by Molly Weasley. She is a great source of comfort throughout the series, but ask Bellatrix Lestrange how fierce she can be! Whoops... :) Molly is always draped in borwns, golds, and oranges. Those colors translated beautifully into this shimmery brown polish. Two easy coats.
Brains and Bravery is inspired by Emma Watson's portrayal of Hermoine Granger. Tough, brave, and still feminine. A grey creme peppered with medium pink glitter that is opaque in two to three coats.
Glittery Heels is inspired by the turquoise heels worn by owner of The Three Brooksticks Pub - Madam Rosmerta. A versatile glitter polish with great coverage at three coats, but able to be layered as well. Shown withone coat over white, two coats alone, used as a glitter gradient over black, and one coat over black.
These polishes will go live in my shop at midnight on Black Friday. I've sent out several blogger packs for review, and those posts should be popping up soon. I hope you love them! Feel free to post your swatches on the Paint Box Polish Facebook page here.
Gah! I've been checking every day for these! They're beautiful! I'm going to be traveling on Black Friday :-( I really hope I can score some of these - the "Ginny" and "Hermione" colors are must haves for me!! Excellent work!
ReplyDeleteIf there are things gone by the time you get to them, just let me know! I'm glad you like them!
DeleteI will, thanks, Pam!
DeleteOk I shamely admit that I'm not a very big fan of Harry potter. It's nice, but nothing more really. And half of the characters you mentioned I don't even remember now.
ReplyDeleteStill this collection is so full of WIN!!! I totally love them!!! Each and every one!!!
Now that I've had time collect myself... :) Kidding! I'm so glad you like them. And I'm glad you didn't say you hate Harry Potter, because then I'd have to question your sanity.
DeleteLOVE them!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ash!
