New Direction (Not the boy band) for the blog

It's no secret that posts have been very few and far between recently. An energetic six-month-old puppy certainly cuts down on swatching and photo-time. So does mixing custom polishes (Check out the custom polish tab up there! I can make it for you!). Both have been incredibly fun and rewarding, which have led me to rethink what I'm going to do with the blog.

This started as a place to track photos of my polishes. Let's face it, what is pretty in the bottle isn't always pretty on your nails. At 200+ polishes, I can't always remember what looks like poo and what doesn't.

I've decided to post my NOTD shots. I'll probably use ones I've published on Instagram. Not perfect lighting, not perfectly posed. A well-done mani? Yes. Clean-up done? For the most part. :) After all, I don't have the best camera or lighting set up. And, I think it will be refreshing to see a polish in "natural" conditions. Have you ever bought one based on a fabulous shot in a blog post, then gotten home and been underwhelmed? Me too. Maybe I can help you there. ;)
