Mary Kay Intensity

My goodness how I wish this polish and my nails got along like civilized adults. It is such a beautiful color! This picture shows it a tad bit dark. Intensity is the color of the violet crayola crayons with a fine shimmer. Beautiful! But, the bottles are tiny and the cap was very large and round. Like, the diameter of a quarter and about 1 inch high. Combine this with a brush/stem that is 1 1/2 inches high, and applying polish becomes a pain in the neck. The formula is very watery. The first coat is pale, streaky, and quite horrid. Luckily, I got opacity and evenness with a second coat.

I've tried both Seche Vite and Poshe, Orly Bonder and Sally Hansen Hard as Wraps, and no base or top coat and just cannot. get. this. polish. to. last. This mani was perfect for little more than a day, then started flaking off. In large pieces. So annoying.

If I wear this color again, it'll be for a special occasion with no expectations beyond 10 hours after application.
